box hook was a fun expirament

I play a lot of Cyber Hook and wanted more hook-type platforming. The simplest way I thought of doing this would be to have alternating pull/swing clicks. I made an overpowered pull click in 3 lines of code and that was too much fun so I stuck with it. I also wrote a simple line for aiming, but didn't understand gimbal lock, so it was wonky. But I was having fun testing it wonky. Once I had interiors, it was so wonderfully disorienting that I kept it. I grew up wandering around a large forest by my home and was dismayed when I knew every acre of it too well to get that wonderful feeling of getting lost. In this game, I've gotten lost in single rooms that I myself made. All the playtesters I've seen so far haven't gotten out of the first room without guidance. I could make it easier to navigate, but then it'd just be like every other game experience. One person said "It feels like I'm 2 years old again and playing sonic for the first time. I love it"

Originally, I just wanted to make some sort of simple platformer in which you would hear silly improvised voice messages. I figured some of my friends would enjoy ranting into a microphone. After I had some gameplay down, I started recording my own messages as a demo. I had planned on making something humorous, but the feel of the game was so liminal and lonely, I went with that feeling and started ranting philosophically. Each of my friends took it in different ways. The game can take on many colors depending on what voice message you hear first. I'm so much more than impressed by the voice messages provided.

I have plenty more level-design ideas. If anyone makes it to the final platform, I'll make more levels. The source code is also available if you want to make your own.
